The full moon in November 2025 will occur on November 5th, also known as the beave moon! Why is it called the beaver moon you might ask? Because it occurs during the time when beavers are busy preparing for winter by building dams and stocking up on food, and it was also the season when early Native Americans and trappers would hunt them for their thick winter pelts. This name reflects the natural events and activities that take place in North America as winter approaches, such as the first frosts and the beavers’ preparations for the cold months ahead.

The Beaver Moon, carries spiritual meaning related to preparation, perseverance, and gratitude, similar to the beavers building their lodges for winter. Occurring in the zodiac sign of Taurus, it signifies a time for completing cycles, emotional peak intensity, and focusing on the tangible. It is considered a powerful time for reflection, letting go of the past, and grounding oneself before the end of the year.

During this last super moon if the year it is a great time to;

  • Prepare and perseve:

The name “Beaver Moon” comes from the time of year when beavers diligently build their lodges to prepare for winter. Spiritually, this signifies a time for humans to prepare for future challenges with hard work, foresight, and resilience.

  • Gratitude and reflection:

The moon encourages reflection on what has been built and accomplished throughout the year, as well as gratitude for resources and loved ones.

  • Completion and release:

As a full moon, it represents the culmination of a lunar cycle, bringing emotions to a peak and signaling the need to break from old habits and complete what is necessary before moving forward.

  • Focus on the tangible:
  • The full moon in Taurus emphasizes grounding and the physical world. It directs energy toward what can be seen, touched, and felt, and can be a time to assess and adjust one’s resources and sense of security. Grounding and Self-Worth: The grounded energy of Taurus invites you to slow down, connect with your body, and bring focus to your personal talents and self-worth. It is a time to reassess whether your financial choices and relationships truly reflect your inner values.
  • Navigating Emotional Tides: As a Supermoon, its gravitational pull is felt more intensely, which can bring emotions to the forefront. This offers an opportunity to consciously navigate emotional waves and integrate the softer, nurturing side (Taurus Moon) with the more intense, instinctual side (Scorpio Sun) of your nature.
  • Patience Amidst Change: The strong but stubborn energy of Taurus may lead to resistance to change. The overall planetary alignments suggest that while changes may be unfolding, patience and inner stability are key to navigating them productively.
  • Letting go of the past:

The last full moon before the winter solstice is sometimes called the Mourning Moon, representing a time to release past troubles and grief and look toward a new season and year.

This specific full moon is a supermoon in the fixed earth sign of Taurus, amplifying its effects and emphasizing themes of strength, steadfastness, and material security. For some traditional North American cultures, the bright light of the moon symbolized the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.

Practices to Harness the Energy

  • Gratitude Practice: Focus on abundance and list everything you are thankful for to raise your vibration and align with prosperity.
  • Grounding Meditation: Engage in practices like nature walks or meditation to anchor yourself in the present moment and find inner peace.
  • Release Rituals: Write down worries, limiting beliefs, or old habits you are ready to let go of, and symbolically release them (e.g., burning or burying the paper).
  • Self-Care: Indulge in sensory self-care, like a warm bath, nourishing meal, or other comforting activities that help you get in touch with your needs and nurture your inner child.
