August 2025 is anticipated to be a spiritually rich month with a focus on transformation, new beginnings, and aligning with one’s higher self. The month begins with the Lion’s Gate Portal, an energetic peak for manifestation and new resolutions. The Sturgeon Moon in Aquarius on August 10th will bring a strong emphasis on mental breakthroughs and reinvention. The month also brings a shift towards grounding and integration as the Sun enters Virgo, with intuitive insights surfacing through unexpected channels.
All through the month of August 2025, we will feel the rumblings of change and upheaval which are getting ready to take hold as we move into Eclipse Season.
If we are paying attention, the first week of August will give us a little preview as to what themes the Eclipses will bring. The messages will be subtle, but will likely start to become louder as we approach the Virgo New Moon on August 23rd. Although not an Eclipse itself, this New Moon is our official entry point into Eclipse Season, with a Blood Moon Eclipse to follow on September 7.
To make the most of the energies this month, we are invited to supercharge our energy field on August 8, as we welcome the Lion’s Gate Portal, and then again on August 22, as we experience another powerful stargate portal between the Sun and Regulus, the Heart of the Lion. Regulus is associated with prosperity and fortune, so soak in these vibrations and use them to supercharge the flow of abundance into your life!
As we shift out of Leo Season into Virgo Season on August 22, we will also feel much better prepared for the strong winds of change that are about to arrive. Virgo Season will help us to ground our energy and create some structure and routine amidst any of the chaos that may be happening.
Saturn and Neptune have been hovering close together in Aries, getting ready for their big merger in early 2026, but as we open to the month of August, Venus will be in action with these two power planets, adding her influence into the mix. We can expect relationship issues to be at the forefront of our minds, as well as matters of the heart. We may be feeling torn about how we feel, or perhaps our emotions may feel all over the place. Saturn will ask us to ground ourselves in our relationships and set clear boundaries. Neptune will ask us to open our hearts and practice unconditional love.
August 6- Mars in Libra
In the days leading up to Mars’ move into Libra, it activates the same degree as the upcoming Virgo Solar Eclipse on September 21. This means we can start to perhaps get a sense of what next month’s Solar Eclipse has in store for us. Pay attention to what fiery Mars may be highlighting for you and see how it comes back around later in September. As Mars gets settled in Libra, our attention may turn to balance, fairness, and order. On the world stage, there may be a greater fight for equality. In our own lives, we may be feeling the call to bring more equality into our personal relationships.
August 8- Lion’s Gate Portal
The Lion’s Gate Portal celebrates the rising of Sirius after weeks of invisibility due to the rays of the Sun. As Sirius returns to the sky, emerging from the light of the Sun, it is reborn. This symbolizes a rebirth of our spiritual body and a stronger and more powerful connection with our soul. While Sirius will be visible in the sky over the coming days based on latitude, August 8th is the day we celebrate the portal due to the addition of the 88 numerology, meaning double achievement!
August 9- Aquarius Full Moon
The Full Moon aligns with the asteroid of Spirit Medicine, Chariklo. Chariklo allows us to connect with nature to evoke a powerful healing energy. She encourages us to listen to our bodies and use plant medicine for healing. Chariklo and the Aquarius Full Moon will work together to bring a powerful release, which could feel very healing. We are guided to bring a sense of neutrality to our emotions- honoring that there is no good or bad, there just is. This Full Moon will also help to bring closure to energies we have been working with since February of this year. Overall, this is a very cleansing Full Moon that will help us to recalibrate for the upcoming Eclipse Season.
August 11- Mercury Direct
Mercury stations direct after being retrograde since July 18. Anything that has needed your attention will begin to unravel so you can finally address things. Pay attention to lost messages or hidden information that finally comes to light. Mercury will remain in its shadow phase until August 25th. Until this time, we are guided to listen to our inner voice and not get caught up in the voices of the world around us.
August 23- Virgo New Moon
Eclipse season is now in session! This is the first of two Virgo New Moons, the next Virgo New Moon will be a New Moon Eclipse on September 21st. This New Moon will only reveal part of the story, and we may feel a sense of lingering unfinished business. Looking at this August Virgo New Moon, the energies are undeniably powerful! This New Moon falls at zero degrees of Virgo, one of the most potent degrees of any zodiac sign! A New Moon at zero degrees indicates a blank slate and a time to imprint our vision onto the Universe. Imagine the future is not set in stone. This is our chance to put our desires out there and imprint how we want our reality to go. This is a powerful time for us individually and for our collective consciousness. We are being given the paintbrush to our reality! Spending time in meditation, focusing on positive energy, abundance, hope, etc., will be incredibly powerful and healing, not just for ourselves, but the entire planet. Saturn and Neptune are also active under this New Moon, but the resulting energy may have us feeling a little emotionally blocked or unsure of how to feel. Using that Virgo mercurial energy will help us with this. It’s time to journal and get in touch with ourselves first.
